Fermented Soybeans – Plant Based Vitamin K2 from Natto

Fermented soybeans are a powerhouse of nutrition and are the highest source of the largely unknown vitamin k2. So you can get all your k2 from plant-based sources by eating natto, a traditional Japanese dish.

So this is where I get the Natto from, Food Sing Trading.

There we go, this is it.

They’ve also got some good mushrooms here. Mushroom assorted mix. Really good in soups. They got shiitake mushrooms too, that’s pretty cool.

Natto, Natto man, I want to be a Natto man.

Alright, guys, so it’s late at night, everyone else is asleep but I still have to eat my Natto.

If you don’t know what Natto is, it’s like a Japanese dish. It’s basically fermented Soybeans and it tastes really really bad. But it’s one of the only sources of plant based, well it is the only source of plant based vitamin k2. Vitamin k2 isn’t known very well but vitamin k2 basically distributes the calcium throughout your body to make sure that it gets in your bones and in your teeth and everything like that. Basically, I prefer to eat Natto, fermented soybeans, instead of eating it through the meat.

Basically, I prefer to eat Natto, fermented soybeans, instead of eating it through the meat. And actually, on Chronometer, which calculates all the different nutrients within each food, Natto actually has way more k2 than a lot of the meat I was looking up.

Anyway, I’m going to tuck into some of this. It tastes really bad and look, check that out, it’s sticky. That’s just what it’s like, it just comes like that, all sticky. This is how I do it. So you can take a vitamin k supplement. You can take a vitamin k2 supplement but you know this isn’t mine this is my friends. But you know I want to eat the real food you know what I’m saying?

But you just got to do it. You just got to do it. Just before you go to bed baby. Nah, I’m not going to go to bed yet I’ve got some late night work to do.

I just swallow it like pills. Oh, man. You know you can mix it with mustard and it tastes a little better but I just prefer to swallow it down with water.

You might think, ‘why are you torturing yourself’. You know, it doesn’t just have vitamin k2 in it. It has a lot of other vitamins in it. It’s packed full of nutrition. So this is also a part of my daily beans. You know because I eat at least 3 servings of legumes, beans, lentils, stuff like that, chickpeas.

Anyway, guys, I’ve still got a little bit to go. I’m not going to make you sit through the whole thing but I thought I’d just show you kind of, you know.

Oh, excuse me. Sorry about that.

Oh yeah, and by the way, Natto, Natto, Potato, Potata, Tomato, Tomato, I really don’t care guys. I like calling it Natto, it just sounds cool, but you know it sounds like some international organization or something like that. Just thought I’d put it out there that I know, I’m not sure how to pronounce it.

Who knows maybe I like calling it natto because it tastes so bad?
